Declan Lynch : Men find today's Coleman a bad sport
The TV childcare specialist sets off the voice of the Stop Relaxing brigade, writes Declan Lynch
THE famous psychologist and broadcaster David Coleman, whose 21st Century Child series is currently on RTE1, is in many ways an admirable fellow.
In his TV and radio appearances and in his newspaper columns, he offers all sorts of clever and practical suggestions in the areas of childcare and of family life in general. Clearly a man of wide-ranging abilities, I have even seen a picture of him playing the acoustic guitar.
Yet I have noted that there are men out there who become a tad apprehensive when they see him on the horizon, coming their way with some piece of advice which they are pretty sure will require them to "step out of their comfort zone", as they say, or generally to stop relaxing.
