David Quinn: Sin of omission makes 'great Irish' list a joke

SO, Bono is one of the 10 greatest Irish people ever. And so is Stephen Gately, and so is Phil Lynott. Either we're a joke, or the joke is on us.

'The Tubridy Show' has been running a poll, based on a shortlist of 40 people, to find out who we think are the 10 greatest Irish people of all time.

The top 10, in alphabetical order, are Bono, Noel Browne, Michael Collins, James Connolly, Stephen Gately, John Hume, Phil Lynott, Padraig Pearse, Mary Robinson and Adi Roche.
