SO, the predicted Republican victory in the mid-term elections came to pass and the Sun-King Obama has fallen back to Earth. It must be a hard blow for those who invested such messianic hopes in a man they believed would usher in a Golden Age.

Faced with such disappointment, his followers have one of two choices. Face the fact that he is merely a mortal man and be content with slow, incremental change, or lash out at those who can't see that Obama is the Promised One.

Most of his supporters seem to have plumped for option two. Like Samuel L Jackson in 'Pulp Fiction', they have decided that, "The path of the righteous man (Obama) is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men (the Tea Party and the Republicans)."
