CELEBRITY: CLAIRE O'MAHONEY

HER Royal Hotness, Pippa Middleton, is said to be in talks with publishers about writing a book on party tips. Booker Prize material it is unlikely to be but, to give Pippa her dues, party planning is her métier so it’s not like this is an outrageous leap.

You couldn’t compare Pippa’s literary ambitions with something like Katie Price’s style book, “Standing Out: My Look, My Style, My Life”, for example. Who knew that there was a market for counsel along the lines of ““Remember, even though you might be dressed like a cheap tart, it doesn’t mean you have to act like one.”? But we digress.

While we applaud Pippa’s ambitions to bring her professional advice to a wider, unwashed audience, there will still be those who say that she is cashing in on her Royal connections, as her parents were accused of doing when their website, Party Pieces, sold bunting in the run up to Kate’s wedding to Prince William.
