Perhaps Paddy should look to the RTE broadcster as a source of inspiration, writes Declan Lynch
Trevor Sargent was the latest to have a go. Just like Siptu boss Jack O'Connor on the last series of Frontline, Trevor saw an opportunity to slag Pat Kenny about his wealth.
They were talking about corporate donations to political parties, with Pat suggesting that Trevor "wants to reduce the other parties to the sort of penury that the Green Party enjoys".
At which point a little light came into Trevor's eyes, and he went for it: "I don't know what you mean by penury, Pat... ," he began, his voice heavy with sarcasm, and that's as far as he got.
