Carol Hunt: Violent misogyny on Facebook is no laughing matter

Apparently a man's right to free speech is greater than a woman's right to freedom from hate speech

What's that? You don't think it's funny? Aw, get a sense of humour sister. What you need to lighten you up is a good dose of chloroform followed by "consensual" sex (if she can't speak, she can't say no). Hahahaha. . .

This is the sort of stuff that some posters on social-networking site Facebook find amusing. When dreary feminists complained about pictures such as an unconscious woman with blood pooled all around her head, with the caption "I like her for her brains" written underneath, or one of a woman with tape over her mouth and the caption, "Don't wrap it and tap it. Tape her and rape her."
