Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes, Oscar Wilde famously wrote. Well, if that is the case, Kevin Cardiff and his minions in the Department of Finance are very experienced indeed.
Cardiff (whose salary is €200,000 a year), is the embattled outgoing Secretary General at the Department of Finance, who is being dispatched to a plum €1.6m gig at the European Court of Auditors next year.
But that could all now change.
