Brian's a bit winded but he laughs off his Brown moment

BRIAN looked startled as, suddenly, the media in front of him disappeared from view (though in his book that's not necessarily a negative occurrence).

He was enduring a doorstep interview outside the Irish Management Institute's office in Sandyford in south Dublin and had just launched into a reply to a question on -- what else -- MEPs' pensions when the tall paper sign placed strategically on a stand behind him promptly toppled over and engulfed his unsuspecting noggin.

He had no idea what had just happened -- perhaps like Chicken Licken he reckoned the sky was falling on his head, as Lord knows a hard rain has been falling on him for some time now.
