Blanket tribunal coverage proves it was a good week for journalism in Ireland

IF there is one thing we have not been short of this week it is the detailed reporting of the findings of the Moriarty Tribunal.
We've waited a long time for this publication, and it was always going to be a sticky issue given that one of the main protagonists of this long-running drama owns so much of the media in Ireland, including a significant chunk of this newspaper.
Depending on which media outlet you were a senior editorial executive of, this could have been a very good week to happen to have been off on a Caribbean cruise. Sadly there was no opportunity to plan any such trips since the report's publication was sprung so suddenly on everyone.
