Young musicians strike the right note

Eight youth orchestras with more than 400 young musicians from around Ireland will perform a variety of works at the 17th Festival of Youth Orchestras at the National Concert Hall in Dublin on Saturday February 4.

The 3pm performance will feature Sacred Heart School, Tullamore; North Wexford Youth Orchestra; Dundalk Grammar School Orchestra and Athenry Youth Orchestra.

The 8pm performance features St Canice's NS Orchestra, Kilkenny; Galway Youth Jazz Orchestra; Irish Midlands Youth Orchestra and the Junior Cork Youth Orchestra. Tickets are priced from €7.50 to €15. Visit www.iayo.ie for more information.

McAreavey suspect accuses police
