Woman in serious condition after assault in her home
A woman suffered serious head injuries in an assault in Dublin.
The 28-year-old victim was attacked at a house on Ruben Walk, Rialto, in the early hours of yesterday morning.
She was rushed to St James's Hospital and transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.
A 26-year-old man, believed to be her boyfriend, was arrested yesterday evening by investigating Gardai.
He is being questioned in Kevin Street garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
A Garda spokesman said the scene was preserved for a technical examination.
