Two seriously hurt in collision

GARDAI were last night trying to establish the cause of the latest horrific road smash that left two people in hospital with serious injuries.
The two-car collision happened on the N7 nearly three miles outside Roscrea, Co Tipperary, about 7.30pm. Rescue personnel were still trying to free victims from the wreckage a considerable time after the crash.
Five ambulances were sent to the scene on the Dublin side of the town and they ferried the injured to hospital. The victims were later said to be suffering from serious injuries.
Crash scene investigators were last night trying to pinpoint the cause the collision. Gardai advised motorists to avoid the area.
In Dublin six people were injured last night in a road smash involving a bus and two cars. It happened at Doyle's Corner near Dublin's Mater Hospital shortly before 7pm. The injured were rushed to hospital, but their conditions were later said to be not serious.
