Two held after cannabis seized
Two men are being questioned after a cannabis seizure in Mullingar
Two men have been arrested following the seizure of cannabis plants with a street value of half a million euro.
The recovery was made by gardai from Mullingar, who carried out a planned search of an industrial unit on the outskirts of the town.
The raid was carried out at around 2.30pm on Saturday.
Two men, aged 37 and 42, were arrested at the scene.
They are being detained at Mullingar Garda station under the Criminal Justice Act.
The cannabis plants have been sent for technical analysis.
