RED-FACED RTE presenters had to apologise to racing fans yesterday after an exuberant trainer got a little over excited when his horse was first past the finishing post.

Trainer Peter Casey, from Stamullen, Co Meath, was delighted after his 6-4 favourite, Flemenstar, put in a top-notch performance at Leopardstown Racecourse to land him his first Grade One success.

In the winner's enclosure after the Arkle Novice Chase, Mr Casey was being interviewed live on television by RTE's Tracy Piggott when he sent temperatures rising.

"I can't believe it. I can't believe it. I'll sleep tonight. I'll have f**kin' sex tonight and everything," the trainer quipped.

"I'm going to get in terrible trouble after that," laughed Ms Piggott, as she directed the trainer away to continue the celebrations.

"Our apologies for a very excited trainer," proffered presenter Robert Hall.

Meanwhile, a punter who staked €32 with Paddy Power on the outcome of four races made a grand total of €38,656.85 on the weekend.

The odds of all four of his chosen horses passing the finishing post in first was almost 15,000/1. And it was a nail-biting half hour on Saturday for the retired man in his 60s, from Dublin's northside, as he watched the races unfold.

First up was the 2.45pm at Leopardstown; followed by winners at the 2.50pm at Doncaster and the 3.10pm at Cheltenham -- both of which were on at odds of 12/1. His final win came on Seabass in the 3.20pm at Leopardstown, which was on odds of 7/1.
