Top hotel from 5-star to no-star

THE landmark Shelbourne Hotel on Dublin's St Stephen's Green, recently stripped of its prestigious five star status, has decided to become an unclassified hotel without any rating.

Last July an interim ruling cut the hotel from five to four stars and the hotel decided to appeal the judgment.

Since then it has withdrawn its appeal and has become unclassified, a spokesman for Failte Ireland confirmed yesterday.
