Super-rich to enjoy all Four Seasons on the high seas

AT €3m for a two-bed apartment, the latest addition to the Irish property market will rule out most first-time buyers.
However, it is safe to say that the people behind the private residential ship 'The Four Seasons' are not aiming for people making their first step onto the property ladder.
The €276m ship was launched to Irish investors in the Four Seasons hotel in Dublin last night with four-bedroom penthouses costing about €11.2m.
Along with a number of other European capitals, Dublin was chosen as one of the launch spots, as the investors behind the project seek to attract some of the new Irish wealth which has been created since the Celtic Tiger.
The ceremony last night was an effort to interest "members of the Irish capital's rich list" in the luxury apartments on board the 12-deck high ship.
However, those hoping to buy will have to wait for their chance to get on board 'the Four Seasons': the ship is still on the drafting table and is not expected to make her maiden voyage for another two years.
"The ship can accommodate 420 people at full capacity," said Leif-Erik Hvide, spokesman for Four Seasons Ocean Residences, adding that the normal load would be between 200 and 250 people.
Eight of the decks will be residential while there will be 96 private apartments, all of which will have ocean views.
There will be a small Irish element, with one of the shopping malls set to be called 'Grafton Street'. It will stand beside a casino, a gourmet market and an 11,000 sq ft fitness spa.
