Paying the new toll should be easy as 1-2-3

Saturday August 30 2008

THE new tolling payment system offers users three options. The first is where the motorist purchases an electronic tag from one of several companies in the market, registers their vehicle details and credit/debit card number and the tolls are either pre-paid or paid at the end of the month.

Car owners who choose this system will pay €2 per trip, while users of the second system -- known as a video account -- will pay €2.50. The video system requires users to register their car details and credit/debit card details.

The third system is pay as you go, which will incur a €3 charge per trip. There is no registration, and users pay through any of the 1,100 payzone outlets including shops or garages, through the website, www.eflow.ie, or by calling 1890 50 10 50.
