New head of fraud bureau will lead Anglo investigation
THE new head of the Garda National Fraud Bureau is Chief Supt Dave Dowling, who will now take overall charge of the criminal side of the investigation into Anglo Irish Bank.
Also transferring into the bureau is Supt Eamon Keogh, who has been on secondment to the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement, working on the Anglo investigation.
The eight new chiefs are: Frank Clerkin (Dublin North); Orla McPartlin (internal affairs); Diarmaid O'Sullivan (Dun Laoghaire), Pat Clavin (change management); Mark Curran (Mullingar), Mick Clancy (Sligo); Ger Dillane (Cork North); Mick O'Sullivan (Galway).
Also on the move as part of the reshuffle is Jim Sheridan, from Sligo to Monaghan, while Aidan Reid will double up in national traffic and Dublin traffic.
George Kyne, from the organised crime unit, is transferred on promotion to Blessington.
