FORECASTERS are predicting more floods for the weekend, with over an inch of rain expected tonight and tomorrow.
With many parts of the country already saturated following more than a week of torrential rain, Met Eireann has warned that between 20mm and 30mm could fall in the coming days. And the unsettled weather shows no signs of abating early next week.
While most parts will enjoy a dry start today, showers are expected to rush in from the west before becoming widespread during the afternoon, with the worst to hit the south and west during the late evening.
Tomorrow will be very wet and humid with thundery rain.
More flooding is likely but the rain should ease, with brighter conditions developing in the south of the country and west during the evening.
Sunday will see a mixture of sunny intervals and scattered showers, with the rain extending countrywide by nightfall.
