THE great irony about clocking cars is that the technology for clocking them has progressed as quickly as the technology that makes modern motors such sophisticated pieces of machinery.
"Clocking" technology is easily obtained and a "job" can be done for between €80 to €100. In many cases, the instrument cluster in the dash does not even have to be removed.
A computer calculates the code manufacturers use for mileage and this code is used to adjust the mileage on the clocked vehicle.
