Girl (16) alleges 6-hour gang rape in Cork and Limerick
THE alleged gang rape and sexual assault of a 16-year old girl in different locations in Limerick and Cork is being investigated by Gardai. The girl has claimed that she was raped and sexually abused by a number of men over a six hour period on February 1.
She made a statement to gardai in Limerick this week and was examined at a sexual assault clinic in Limerick.
The assaults are alleged to have occurred in the Bruff area in Co Limerick and near Charleville in Co Cork.
Gardai have interviewed a number of people in relation to the allegations and a number of searches have been carried out.
