Gangster 'pimps' his council home
Tuesday October 27 2009
A TOP member of one the country's most notorious gangs has spent a fortune transforming -- or 'pimping' -- his council home into a lavish gangster's 'crib'.
The criminal's home boasts marble floors, exquisite glass sinks, renovated bathrooms and kitchens and a fireplace large enough to sit in.
The furnishings are just some of the finishing touches that the gangster has put to a house in one of the country's most deprived neighbourhoods.
No expense has been spared on the Limerick city property located on Hyde Road, which was raided by members of the gardai and the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) last Thursday.
The home is used by a senior member of the notorious McCarthy-Dundon gang. Gardai and CAB are putting together a profile of the assets.
