Gang on run after €90,000 heist

AN armed gang was on the run last night with €90,000 after they attacked a security man with metal bars

The cash in transit heist happened at the Tesco shopping centre on the Dublin Road in Maynooth, Co Kildare, yesterday morning at around 10.45am. The security man was about to service an ATM when he was hit with a wheel brace.

The raiders getaway car is believed to have been a green Mazda 323 hatchback.

Gardai appealed to anyone with information to contact them at Maynooth garda station on 01 6292380.
