Dubs are least happy with their sex lives
Sunday November 22 2009
IRISH men claim to have had an average of nine sexual partners, more than double the number of their female counterparts, who claim to have had just four, according to a survey carried out for a TV programme.
More than six out of 10 Irish people claim to be happy with the amount of sex they are having, with those living in Leinster, but outside the capital, the most satisfied, followed by those in Connacht and Ulster, then Munster.
Dubliners appear to be least happy in this regard.
In general, 48 per cent of those surveyed are content with the physical side of their relationship.
In the survey for Battle of the Sexes, 80 per cent of people still believe males traditionally make the first move, but 18 to 24-year-olds believe females will make the initial approach in a romance.
The survey of 1,000 people also shows that just under a third of men believe women who carry condoms are promiscuous.
Battle of the Sexes will be shown tonight on RTE One at 9.30pm.
