Donohoe struck by hackers
Saturday November 21 2009
Fine Gael's Paschal Donohoe became the latest victim of a group of cyber hackers who attacked his website.
The senator was alerted last week that his site was no longer accessible and replaced by a black screen with Arabic text instead. He said he had never heard of the Algerian group of hackers, TeAm MoStA.
But it showed the threat posed by cyber criminals.
"The lesson here for me is that cyber crime is clearly more frequent and prevalent than I thought."
Undeterred, Paschal is continuing to Twitter from the Seanad, informing us: "Disjointed Order of Business. Lots of interruptions. Someone reading the paper."
Good, the senators justifying their existence.
