Pub customer gets €35,000

A FACTORY worker who claimed he was wrongfully assaulted and thrown out of a pub has settled a High Court damages action against the proprietor for €35,000.
Ryan McBride (29) Tirlaughan, Carrigart, Donegal sued John Connor, licensee of the The Fleets Inn, Downings in Donegal after he was allegedly thrown out of the premises on July 4, 1998.
Mr Connor had denied the claims. The case was due to go before a jury at the High Court yesterday when the court was told it had been settled.
