Court hears of oral rape horror and how woman told attacker: 'Just kill me'
The now 51-year-old woman said she met the man a little earlier in the casualty department of the Mater Hospital where both were being treated.
He had a bandaged head and while they smoked outside the casualty area he offered to drive her home and they began walking to his car but after going some distance he 'nudged' her into a wooded area where he sexually assaulted her.
The 28-year-old north city man denies orally raping her at Albert College Park, Glasnevin, on February 29, 2000.
The woman told the court how they came to a dark passage and she was frightened of the dark. He 'nudged' her towards a gate and said not to be stupid. She didn't know where she was.
She then felt 'a bang' on the side of her face which she thought was from his hand and she fell to the ground. He came on top of her with his knees on her chest and hands on her throat. The woman said he then pulled off her clothes.
She added: "Please don't hurt me. Just kill me and get over with it". He replied: "You f***ing bitch - I'm not doing 20 years for this."
She was in a state of shock and couldn't breathe properly or cry out.
She said she remained lying on the ground in the dark for maybe 15 minutes and then slowly moved her eyes around but could see nothing. She finally scrambled her clothes together and ran to a nearby house where the family cared for her and contacted the gardai.
The trial continues.
