Catwalk Kidd is a big fan of Irish fashion

JETSETTING model Jodie Kidd last night declared herself a dedicated follower of Irish fashion.
International clothes-horse Kidd, also an accomplished polo player, flew into Ireland for a glitzy awards ceremony to celebrate some of the country's leading designers.
Kidd presented designer John Rocha with the coveted Best Fashion Designer Award at the Off the Rails Fashion Awards in the RDS, Dublin.
The British catwalk star insisted she was a "big supporter of Irish fashion" and was thrilled to be attending the event.
Actress and author Amy Huberman, a star of RTE's 'The Clinic', was delighted to be chosen as the best-dressed female celebrity. Her delight was relayed to the audience in the RDS Simmonscourt via a pre-recorded video link. The fiancee of Leinster rugby star Brian O'Driscoll was unable to attend on the night as she was in Cork for work on a new show.
Despite her absence she thanked the fashion-conscious 'RTE Guide' readers who had voted to put her on a shortlist for the prestigious prize.
"I was so excited to find out that I had won this award, especially when it was a public vote and there were so many other stylish women in the category," she said. "It's incredibly flattering, so I'd really like to thank anyone that voted for me."
She also gave a few nuggets of information about her own fashion choices: "You dress for yourself essentially, so it's nice when people admire a style or how you put things together.
"It such a nice award to get. I'm a huge girly girl and I just love clothes."
RTE fashion editor Janet Butler collected the award for best dressed male celebrity on behalf of Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The star of 'The Tudors' was also missing as he had to fly out of Ireland immediately after filing the fourth series of the drama. The judging panel bestowed the best stylist award on Paula Hughes.
Before the awards ceremony got under way, models displaying outfits from Coast, Oasis and TopShop got into their stride with smart styling from Graham Cruz, and Joanne Hynes showed off fabulous evening wear.
