Bomb explodes in Derry
Part of a bomb exploded outside Strand Road police station in Derry early yesterday.
The area was sealed off shortly after midnight when a small explosion was heard near a car abandoned at the perimeter wall of the station.
Bomb disposal officers were called to the area to deal with what was initially described as a suspect device in a car in Queen Street.
Meanwhile, in Belfast, a 40-year-old man has been arrested following the murder of a man in the Loyalist Shankill area of the city on Friday.
Bobby Moffat was shot by two masked men in what is believed to have been a paramilitary killing linked to the illegal Ulster Volunteer Force.
