Big Brother only has eyes for capital city

CITY dwellers beware -- your every move could be recorded for an innovative new film project.

Over a 24-hour period award-winning film director Lenny Abrahamson plans to create a "Frankenstein" archive of the capital city.

From exactly 12.01am to 11.59pm on this Thursday anything that lives, breathes or stands within the confines of the M50 is "fair game" for the cameras.

A further 12-hours will be spent editing the eclectic footage before it is handed over to Abrahamson.

As part of the four-day Darklight Festival at the Light House Cinema, Smithfield, the unusual footage will be further edited and shown as a featured film on the final night of the festival on Sunday.

As well as a showing of the '80s sci-fi classic Tron, the festival will also include an outdoor visual art trail, an exhibition of classic computer games, and a special children's screening of classic Irish animation.
