Bev's back to set a Dail benchmark

Wednesday July 04 2007
BEVERLEY Flynn roared back into Leinster House yesterday to make her first appearance since her controversial settlement with RTE.
Behind the wheel of her huge, jet black Toyota SUV, the Mayo TD appeared in relaxed form.
Her absence last week, when her €1.25m RTE settlement deal was at the centre of debate, was caused by the admission of her two-year-old son, Harry, to hospital following an asthma attack. Back in the Dail yesterday, she took her seat beside Finian McGrath, on the benches occupied by those Independents supporting the Government.
Although these seats are on the fringes of the Fianna Fail ranks, she's not yet back in her "natural home" so she won't be moving just yet.
