What Enable Ireland does

Enable Ireland provides free services for 3,541 children and 219 adults from 40 locations in 15 counties throughout Ireland. These cover all aspects of a child's physical, educational and social development. For adults the organisation supports personal development, independent living, employment and social and leisure activities.

Sales from Enable Ireland shops pay for essentials such as service centres, pre-school equipment, play areas and hydrotherapy pools.

"Enable Ireland is buzzing with excitement about Give Up Clothes for Good and we know it is a campaign that the public will really get behind," says Fionnuala O'Donovan, CEO of Enable Ireland. "Our retail shops are very busy, but we have reached a crisis point in the search for donations."

The charity has also been dealt a blow by the theft of stock in some of its stores.

"The donations generated by this campaign will provide our stores with the stock that they need to meet customer demand and support services for children with disabilities," she says.
