THE cost of a taxi trip from Dublin Airport to the city centre ranks 12th in the world in a new survey, based on the cost per mile.
But a trip from Tokyo’s Narita Airport to the centre will cost you just under €225.
The 41-mile journey, however, was not the most expensive when ranked on cost by distance travelled.
THE highest was Copenhagen, where a five-mile journey costs an average of €40.04 or €8.60 per mile.
Dublin by comparison comes in at €2.86 per mile or a total of €24.90 ranking 12th in the survey by Moneycorp, a currency exchange firm.
The research pitted the cost of the taxi journeys from major international airports in Europe and the rest of the world to city centres.
The cheapest airport to city centre taxi rides include Delhi’s Indira Ghandi International and Thailand’s Suvernabhumi airport.
