This story has legs

The Hotel Meyrick in Galway has been thinking outside the box, combining a luxury getaway with a touch of imaginative upcycling.

If you love the idea of taking a piece of furniture and giving it a second life, then why not take part in the hotel's 'Chair Affair', an upcycling workshop held in conjunction with the Gaiety Antique and Vintage Store?

On Saturday February 8, guests at the four-star hotel will be given a packed lunch to take to the Gaiety Store for a few hours (10.30am to 2.30pm) of creativity.

Participants will be provided with the chair, paint, fabric and the food. Now, that's a story that could grow legs... For further information, see
