Arnotts ditched decades of fashion tradition at the glitzy Fashion Insider Event this week choosing to send lean and lithe models down the department store's moving walkways instead.
Thankfully there were no tumbles, just a few wobbles and lots of colourful clobber.
Former Fair City actress Aoibhín Garrihy had scooted down from Belfast for the occasion – the blonde bombshell is in the middle of shooting BBC thriller The Fall.
Garrihy caught up with her friend actress Aoibheann McCaul who caught everyone's eye in a canary yellow summer coat. "It's to match the sunshine," she said.
DJ and reality TV star Vogue McFadden was busy spinning the decks but managed to find some time to tell me all about her upcoming TV documentary Vogue Does the Afterlife.
Both Vogue and her other half Brian McFadden are clocking up TV presenting gigs. "He's doing a dating show for Channel 5 and I'm trying to communicate with the dead," Vogue said.
It was a flying visit for the Howth native who was dashing back to London the following day to begin her DJ residency at a new risqué burlesque club. "Unfortunately I'll be DJing fully clothed but that could all change," she said.
PR guru Avila Lipsett, fashion photographer Lili Forbeg and stylist Lorna Claire Weightman sipped 'Swizzle' cocktails while ogling the clothes and getting their hair jushed by an on-site hair and make-up team.
"Who doesn't like a good pampering?" model Louise O'Reilly asked while applying lip gloss.
