Sharon's on song out west as Mick dines on culture

No jokes about airline food please. My favourite tycoon Michael O'Leary and his beautiful wife Anita had dinner in The Marker Hotel on Wednesday night before heading across to see Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake – men in tights pretending to be birds, you gotta love it – with some pals at the nearby Bord Gais Theatre. I'm guessing Mick's mainer in the Marker was a little more expensive than the €10 flights Stateside mooted by O'Leary last week.
Jetting to America in, one imagines, more style and comfort, gorgeous chanteuse Sharon Corr headed west last week to do some gigs in California (followed by a full tour of the US). She was due at the US-Ireland Alliance's ninth annual "Oscar Wilde: Honoring the Irish in Film" soiree in Santa Monica on Thursday night, but at the last minute a family matter came up. (In sexy Shazza's absence, the glam was provided by Claudine Keane – with husband Robbie – actress Sarah Bolger and Philomena Lee.) The Corr played a gig the night before in Los Angeles. "I was joined onstage by Mitchell Froom and Colin Devlin too! We had a ball," said Ms Corr who wore a John Rocha guna on stage.
