The Irish public can vote for their favourite new building in Ireland from 33 residential, commercial and other buildings which are shortlisted for the RIAI Irish Architecture Awards 2013.
The €15.7m Bord Gais Networks, at St Margaret's Road, Finglas, Dublin 11, which was designed by Denis Byrne Architects, is one of the more unusual buildings shortlisted. Others include the new Student Centre at University College Dublin.
The list also includes a number of new houses, as well as the JFK Memorial School in Limerick, Luan Gallery in Athlone and Phoenix Care Centre in Dublin.
The closing date for voting is next Monday, June 26. You can vote online at www.riai.ie or on Facebook.
This year's awards received 100 entries across 13 categories, including best commercial, best educational and best health building, best house, best house extension, best housing project, best public building, best international project, best sustainable project and best universal design.
There are also awards for best research and for best emerging practice.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on July 2.
