Simply submit a photo of your dog via this form and we will add it to our
'Your dog photos' gallery. (If you have already submitted your photo for
another gallery, you will need to re-submit it for inclusion in the
competition.)
Photos must be your own original work.
We will shortlist five finalists, and Independent.ie readers will vote for
their favourite.
The winner will receive six months' supply of dog food, while there are also
prizes of four months' and two months' supply up for grabs.
(The supply will be tailored to your dog's needs, so it doesn't matter if you
own a St Bernard or a chihuahua!)

Terms and Conditions
1. First prize consists of six months’ supply of dog food from Best for My
Dog. There are two runner up prizes of four months’ supply of dog food and
two months’ supply of dog food. If for reasons beyond Best for My Dog's
control, the prize specified in this promotion cannot be fulfilled, Best for
My Dog will provide an alternative for equal value.
2. The Competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over and resident in the
Republic of Ireland other than employees of Best for My Dog and Independent
Digital, Independent.ie and their families, agents of Independent.ie and any
third party included in this promotion.
3. Entrants must supply their full name, address, and email address, and other
information which may be required such as telephone number or date of birth.
4. The online Independent.ie Photo Submission Competition runs from 14 October
2009 to 31 October 2008.
5. Judging for the Photo Submission Competition will take place on or before
30 November 2009, and the winners will be notified by email (a valid email
address must be supplied).
6. Prize amounts (six months’ supply, four months’ supply and two months’
supply) will be determined by Best for My Dog.
7. By entering the Competition entrants warrant that they have taken the
photograph in question and obtained all necessary consents, permissions etc
in respect of the photograph. In the event of a dispute in relation to the
winning photograph that shall be referred to their entrant and shall not be
a matter for Independent Digital.
8. Subscribers must enter the Competition before the applicable closing date.
9. Incomplete, illegible or late entries will not be accepted. No
responsibility will be accepted for entries lost or delayed in the course of
transmission.
10. Persons not eligible to enter the on-line Independent.ie Competition
include employees of Independent.ie or Unison.ie and their families, agents
of Independent.ie and any third party included in this promotion.
11. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other
equivalent.
12. Independent.ie reserve the right to substitute activities of an equivalent
or greater value to those specified, should any part of the activity become
unavailable.
13. The on-line Independent.ie Competition entries will be judged by a panel
of judges to include representatives from Independent.ie and relevant third
parties. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence or
communication will be entered into.
14. Winners must agree to participate in any promotional activities that may
be organised by Independent.ie in connection with the giveaway.
15. Independent.ie reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify
any entrant, to add to or waive any rules without prior notice to the
entrants or in the event of circumstance beyond the control of
Independent.ie arising which in its opinion makes it desirable to cancel the
competition at any stage.
16. To maximum extent permitted by law, Independent.ie is excluded from
liability for any loss, damage or injury which might occur to the winner resulting from his or her acceptance of the prize.
