Hi °C | Lo °C OPEL's new Astra saloon has just arrived. Prices start from €19,495 with delivery and related charges extra.
That means the Astra range now has a saloon, 5dr, station wagon and the three-door GTC coupé as well as the high-performance OPC version.
The 1.4-litre turbo petrol (140bhp) engine now has an over-boost function that gives a temporary 10pc spurt of pulling power – useful when overtaking.
Among the other engines are the 1.7 CDTI ecoFLEX (110hp, 130hp, 99g/km) and what is being described as the most powerful Astra in history, the 280bhp OPC.
Early next year there will be a new 1.6-litre SIDI (Spark Ignition Direct Injection) petrol with up to 200bhp on tap.
