A CAR has 'sold out' before it even gets here after five people bought the Irish allocation on Facebook.
Ford yesterday launched a limited edition of their Fiesta-based crossover, called the EcoSport.
The company made 500 'available' on Facebook across some European countries, with the UK getting 120 and Ireland five.
I understand the Irish buyers are from Louth, Cork, Wexford, Mayo and Kerry.
The motor comes with either a 123bhp 1-litre EcoBoost petrol or 90bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine. And it costs €23,995 -- for both diesel and petrol.
These limited edition models also have an upgraded version of the marque's Sync AppLink infotainment system -- it has new apps and functionality.
Among them is 'Autoread' which reads out emails and text messages and allows you to dictate replies through the car's voice-recognition service.
