Milk, mucus and a new baby boy – it was Samantha Libreri’s ideal way to ring in the new year.
The RTÉ reporter gave birth to a baby boy just two days before New Year’s Eve and announced her good news on Twitter last night.
“Ringing in 2014 in hospital with milk, mucus and my two day old baby boy. Couldn't imagine a better way to spend it,” Samantha wrote online.
“Happy New Year everyone,” she added.
Even Santa was preparing the broadcast journalist for her new experience of motherhood.
Samantha found the ‘Book of Irish Mammies’ under the tree on Christmas morning.
“Santie preparing me for our new arrival in less than two weeks!,” she tweeted on Christmas Eve.
