Line Out assembles the perfect capsule wardrobe for a stylish man on the move.Shot on location at Longacres, a dream home in Portrane, Co Dublin
Line Out’s fashion shoot is a collaboration of rich and sophisticated autumnal menswear, fusing fashion and architecture in a thoroughly dramatic and stylish way in north Co Dublin.
It’s about the man who loves beautiful things – his house, his car and, most importantly, his clothes.
This season the menswear trends are exceedingly rich in terms of colours, textures and fabrics.
Our choice of clothes was partly inspired by the strong lines and shapes of Longacres, a luxurious beachside home created by architect Damien Murtagh.
We wanted to create something elegant and timeless with each look, with just the right amount of modernity and youth.
Irish men are certainly getting more adventurous in their style and our selection reflects that change.
Photographer Daniel Holfeld captured the intensity and contrast of light and shadow in the house, while the clothes explored hard versus soft fabrics and shapes.
Thumbing through iconic glossy magazines, it’s hard not to be impressed by stylish European men.
Taking the elegance of how stylish stars like model David Gandy, French actor Olivier Martinez, director Francois Truffaut and even British sportsman David Beckham dress on a daily basis, our shoot moved from casual downtime to smart casual, business to night-out outfits.
There are a number of trends to watch for this season. ?
Colours such as deep green, burgundy, soft caramels and ochre shone through in this autumnal story.
Taking inspirationfrom catwalks such as Salvatore Ferragamo and Hermes, we teamed soft knitwear with blazers for a nod to the nautical/military trend and mixed coloured trousers with classic neutrals.
Outerwear is important for the season, with our options of an iconic trench from Aquascutum, navy pea coat from Zara and stunning soft leather jackets from Brown Thomas and Massimo Dutti.
There's definitely a wide variety to suit every man's taste and budget.
Preppy fashion is also a big look this season, which you will see from our Tommy Hilfiger cardigan look.
If you like a quirky, casual style then this D&G inspired look is for you; make a shirt and tie more interesting by teaming with a bright cardigan instead of blazer or suit jacket to look ontrend for this season.
Accessories are a big feature for menswear; a chunky watch, printed scarf, oversized leather satchel, leather belt or tinted shades can really complete an outfit.
