Kate's top style moments

From the moment Kate Middleton stepped into the royal ring she's been under the sartorial spotlight

Wedding, April 2011. The world waited with baited breath to see what the newly coined Duchess would wear, and few were disappointed. Emulating Grace Kelly in long-sleeved lace Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton, Kate was breathtaking.

Being a prince's WAG might sound like a dream come true to many. But it isn't always easy when it comes to having the eyes of the world upon you, judging your style every time you leave the house.

Like Princess Diana before her, Kate Middleton has been under the fashion microscope since she first started dating Prince William in 2002. However, unlike the former Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, Kate has had far more hits than misses in the style stakes. Apart from a couple of blips early on, Kate has been remarkably chic throughout the years, even while heavily pregnant. Here we follow her most iconic looks since she's been in the public eye.

St Andrew's Fashion Show, March 2002 Stalking down the runway in a sheer sarong fashioned as a dress, with her underwear clearly visible, this is reportedly the moment that Kate really piqued the Prince's interest – surprise, surprise! The college fashion show shots have gone down in history, and while it's not Kate's most elegant look, she still manages to pull it off somehow.
