Naked Playboy model strikes a blow for feminism

Promoting her new reality show, Holly Madison says she thinks that watching the story of her life will "inspire other girls to follow their dreams".
In case you’ve never come across the work of Miss Madison, she’s a naked Playboy model and a former girlfriend of that venerable publication’s proprietor, Hugh Hefner.
According to a recent book about Playboy by Izabella St James, who also used to go out with Mr Hefner (at the same time as six other women), he pays his girlfriends $1,000 a week and gives them free board. Every Wednesday and Friday he’d hold a “sex night”, which consisted of Mr Hefner popping a Viagra and then watching his squadron of beauties - what shall we say? Lay on the entertainment?
The message to young female viewers of Holly Madison’s show is as clear as it is uplifting.
Study hard, girls, and one day you too could realise Holly’s dream of being paid to roll stickily about a bed with other surgically enhanced models for the pleasure of an 83-year-old pornography magnate.
But perhaps I’m being unfair. I myself used to work for a gentlemen’s leisure title (only as a writer, sadly, rather than as a model).
Also, I must admit I cropped Holly’s quote slightly. In full what she said was:
“I think [my show] will inspire other girls to follow their dreams - whatever they might be.”
So conceivably, with that closing phrase, what Holly meant was that she expects young girls to watch her show and think, “Dear God, that looks awful. Stuff modelling, I’m going to do a more respectable job, like a lawyer or doctor.”
Although probably the first career that will leap to mind is plastic surgeon.
