Tricia Walsh-Smith: YouTube is a great vehicle for a great many people, and in 2008 actress Tricia Walsh-Smith took to the internet to hurl porn and Viagra claims against her husband, Philip.

In a six-minute rant posted on the YouTube website, 49-year-old Walsh-Smith talks directly to the camera and says: "We never had sex. He said it was because he had high blood pressure. I accepted that. Then last year I found Viagra, porn movies and condoms. Maybe I should call him up and ask him what he wants to do with the condoms."

Richard Batista: After giving his wife a kidney in a life-saving transplant, Long Island doctor Robert Batista promptly asked for $1.5m in lieu of the organ during divorce proceedings in 2009.

"There's no deeper pain you can ever express than to be betrayed by the person you devoted your life to" Batista said at the time. "I saved her life. But the pain is unbearable."

Later, Batista reportedly asked for the kidney itself to be returned to him. Which makes arguing over who gets the flat-screen telly seem rather quaint.
