Sarah Jessica Parker does a casual-elegant mash-up in New York at the amFAR gala.
Oh to be Sarah Jessica Parker with the time and resources on hand to have such a giggle getting dressed.
Last night she attended the AmFar Benefit Gala in New York, where the 46-year-old actress indulged in a little evening/daywear mash-up.
Parker went all-out with an Oscar de la Renta gown in spring's most popular colour (whether it's Jonathan Saunders or M&S, get your hands on a pink dress), but made the look both fresh and, heaven forefend, winter-friendly by topping it with a Theyskens Theory leather biker jacket. Inside the venue she then did a reveal of the sleeveless number in all its glory, which she wore with a splendidly bling vintage necklace, diamond earrings and chunky silver bracelets on both wrists. All very fabulous.
The other day I read an interior designer's blog where she mentioned that when she has finished accessorizing a new room she always subtracts five items from the set up. I think Parker should have taken a leaf out of that lady's blog and taken away the strappy bag and the gloves. Then again when did a little over-accessorizing ever do anyone any harm?
