Marc Jacob's imagination must be a magnificent place. Whatever about going wild with his own street chic label, what he does for Louis Vuitton is even more fabulous.
The current collection is like an explosion of ruching and pie-crust ruffles. Every colour from coral and camel to emerald, moss and mustard are played with. Accessories include bunny-ear headpieces, paper-chain necklaces executed in leather and swashbuckling, thigh-high, metallic boots. It sounds like a head-spinning sensory overload and yet he manages to make it look refined, luxurious and impossibly elegant.
It's a far cry from the commercial world of the monogram bag and a great place to source inspiration for a lavish party wardrobe with a delicious dose of wit.
