Who is a style queen and who should sack the stylist this week?
Best dressed: Freida Pinto
It could be the plot of a romantic movie. A beautiful model falls for her unassuming co-star in the surprise smash hit of the year and months later, they're more in love than ever. It's heart-warming, really, although not if you happened to be Freida Pinto's former fiancé, whom she reportedly stopped calling after the success of Slumdog Millionaire, but let's not dwell on that.
It seems that Freida is one determined lady. She's one of the few Indian models to start her acting career with a Hollywood film, and what's a bit of collateral damage when you're on your way to becoming an international star?
A little while ago, she was going to New York to look for work, now she's worked on a Woody Allen movie and is currently Bollywood's highest paid actress. What Freida wants, she may just always get. Lucky Dev ... And doesn't she look fabulous in her Valentino dress? Something tells us we may be seeing a lot more of Ms Pinto.
Worst dressed: Emily Blunt
So you've played the part of fashion's most savvy assistant in The Devil Wears Prada and got to wear one fabulous ensemble after another. Talk about a dream role, even if the powers-that-be did watch what you ate and you defied them by hiding doughnuts in your dressing room. After all, one must suffer for art. And your reputation as a style icon was going to be set once you got your hands on those costumes.
No one would ever remember that you had actually gone out with cheesy crooner Michael Bublé ... And then bloody Meryl Streep has to go and be all "I'm a serious actress" and auction off the entire movie wardrobe. Of course, it was all for charity, and that's obviously a good thing, but still, it's just not fair.
While your roles since then haven't exactly been sartorially inspiring (Young Victoria, anyone?), that's no excuse. You may be engaged to the lovely John Krasinski from The US Office, but a girl still has to make an effort. To be blunt, Emily, it's really not working for you. Better luck next time.
