Yoko Ono to write autobiography
Tuesday January 05 2010
Yoko Ono has revealed she's ready to write her memoirs.
John Lennon's widow has hinted she would like to put pen to paper for the highly anticipated autobiography, which will include details about her marriage to the late Beatle, but fans will have to wait, as it won't be on shelves until around 2015.
"I would love to do it, I just have to find the time," she said in a website chat with fans, reports The Daily Express.
The Japanese-born artist and musician added it would be her "next book, which will be written in the next five years".
Yoko, the mother of John's younger son Sean, previously revealed her reluctance to write a tell-all book because it could hurt the families of those close to The Beatles.
"There are things that I can't write because it may hurt someone. I think about how it might hurt (their) children and I don't want to do that," she said in 2007.
The 76-year-old wrote a brief introduction to the 2005 anthology, Memories Of Lennon, featuring contributions from the musician's friends such as Sir Mick Jagger and Cilla Black.
