Time is ripe for Dolores to return

Cranberries, as we all know, are good for you. And now, it seems they are good for the country too. Take our best-known Cranberry (oh you know who I mean -- beautiful Irish rock star Dolores O'Riordan). Well she is performing the ultimate patriotic act -- she is looking at properties in Ireland when she returns for a holiday with her family in June.
It's official -- the property market in Ireland is starting to turn. Lest you've forgotten, the lovely Limerick songbird sold her mansion in Howth three years ago and moved to Canada.
Meanwhile, Dolores is jetting off with husband Don and the kids for a few weeks break in the Caribbean before playing some stadium concerts in Asia with her band. (The Cranberries, who will record their first album in 10 years with Stephen Street in Toronto in April, are still the biggest-selling band to come out of Ireland since U2.)
Another Limerick legend, Celia Holman Lee, has just returned from two weeks in Thailand with husband Ger. Going on holidays with your husband -- where will it end?
Gearing up for the Peter Mark VIP 2011 Style Awards on March 25 at the Shebourne Hotel, Celia told me she was also excited about the arrival last month of baby Erica.
No, the TV3 style stalwart hasn't had the baby herself. She might have discovered the secret of eternal youth through her beauty and style regime but Celia cannot, alas, have a baby at 60 years of age. It is her son Ivan and his wife Asta's first child. She was born in the Limerick Regional Maternity Hospital, weighing in at eight-and-a-half pounds. Celia's first grandchild, Henry, was born in July 2008 to Celia's daughter Cecile and husband Henry.
